We had a fantastic response to our survey about the issues on the Tyne catchment, and it has taken some work to bring the results together.
The information provided was really useful and highlighted a wide variety of issues. There were some common themes – the ‘hot’ issues were:
- pollution,
- anti-social behaviour,
- access for recreation,
- sediments,
- invasive species,
- in-river obstructions, and
- fish populations.
A wide variety of people responded, with more than 36% of them members of the public.
All the information gathered in the survey has been pulled together in easy to understand maps and charts in our Tyne Catchment Survey report. Click here to get the full report.
